Position Summary
Warehouse Employees working in the Shipping Department are responsible for the timely packaging and shipping of US Tarp products. They are trained to use tools and equipment for ensuring secure and proper on-time shipments. In addition, they assist with the needs in other departments to ensure US Tarp products are produced and shipped on time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Distribute inventory to the appropriate bin location for integration into the manufacturing process.
- Count and monitor product inventories to ensure appropriate levels of in-stock items; problem-solving discrepancies and communicating with supervisors.
- Operate Forklift for pallet/large inventory transfers and product movement.
- Ensure product order are prepared and shipped timely.
- Prepare labels and documents for outgoing and incoming orders.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Assist in other areas of operations as needed, and perform other duties assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
- Ability to read, write, perform simple arithmetic, and measure accurately.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in production and documentation.
- Ability to understand and maintain quality and safety standards.
- Ability to route and distribute materials.
- Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate channels.
