What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Laborer – Concrete position at US Tech Force?
US Tech Force is currently seeking concrete laborers to fill crews for our client located in Iron County, Michigan. This is a direct hire and relocation opportunity with a competitive pay structure to include assistance achieving a Class A CDL.
Concrete General Laborer Job Duties:
Assist with Site Prep – Help set up forms, rebar, and other materials for concrete pours; basic layout and measurements.
Mixing and Transporting Materials – Load and transport concrete or other materials using wheelbarrows, buckets, or equipment.
Concrete Placement – Assist in pouring concrete into forms, ensuring proper placement and minimal air pockets.
Basic Finishing Support – Use hand tools like rakes, screeds, and floats to help level and smooth freshly poured concrete under supervision.
Job Site Maintenance – Clean up debris, wash tools and equipment, and keep the worksite organized and safe throughout the day.
Concrete General Laborer Requirements:
Valid driver’s license – Required for job site transportation and potential CDL advancement opportunities.
Willingness to travel weekly (Monday–Friday) – Travel is required; crews return home on weekends.
Ability to perform physical labor – Must be able to lift 50 lbs, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
Comfortable working outdoors – Must be able to work in various weather conditions on active construction sites.
Strong work ethic and team mindset – Dependable, coachable, and ready to contribute to a fast-paced crew.
