Materials Manager

Duration-9 months Contract

Job Description

• Materials Planner responsible for demand, supply, inventory planning and tactical execution for warehouse robotics equipment
• Responsible to perform complex analyses to determine demand-supply gaps, safety stock levels, forecast calculations and identify inventory excess/obsolescence
• Responsible to partner with and influence procurement, manufacturing and logistics teams to optimize processes and solve business problems/risks

Preferred Skills:

• Master’s degree
• Familiarity with world-class planning and forecasting methods and tools
• Exceptional ability to solve problems and coordinate with global team members
• Extensive negotiation experience with global suppliers with a proven track record in cost reduction
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Strong analytical skills and comfort pulling data and analysing directly from databases (i.e. cost modelling, supply analysis)
• Knowledge of Oracle ERP, Agile a plus

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field
• 7 years of experience in high volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environment
• 7 years of direct experience in supplier/supply chain management
• Global supply chain experience managing cross functional teams in a fast-paced consumer electronics product company
• Knowledge and experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies
• Knowledge of manufacturing supply chain and operations industry
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, SQL and visualization tools
• Working knowledge of supply chain planning and execution concepts
