What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector position at US Tech Solutions?
Duration: 12-month contract with Extension
Job Description:
· Perform visual inspections and measurements on incoming materials to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Materials will include both refractory and sheet metal.
· Identify and report any non-conformances or deviations from quality standards to the appropriate personnel.
· Conduct regular inspections of production processes to monitor quality control parameters and identify areas for improvement.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
· Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records and documentation.
· Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
· Support the department’s safety initiatives, apply knowledge of industrial safety standards, and identify health hazards.
Experience:
· Able to interpret technical documentation (e.g. specifications, design prints, SOPs, etc.)
· Proficient in using measurement tools and equipment.
· Strong knowledge of quality control methods, practices, and procedures.
· High attention to detail.
· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
· Proficient with MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Desired Skills
· Previous manufacturing experience
· Metal fabrication and welding knowledge
· Metrology experience (e.g. CMM, vision systems, 3D scanning, etc.)
· Solidworks/CAD understanding
Education:
· Associate degree in required
