Wilmington NC Area, Westchester / Evensdale OH, and Manchester NH areas. This position will be working in one of the facilities mentioned above and will be responsible for working with all sites / buyers in the GE program

If you have: 

• Ability to pass US Tool system training
• Familiarity with data entry, filing and record keeping
• Strong knowledge of Windows-based operating systems and software
• Basic knowledge of MRP/ERP system
• Advanced Excel Knowledge
• Presentation skills
• Experience buying perishable and/or nonperishable items 
• General working knowledge of inventory 
• Knowledge of lead-time and stockouts 
• Knowledge of cutting tools (preferred)
• Experience interacting with suppliers 
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good problem-solving skills
• Strong ability to multi task
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and stay focused
• Understanding of work quality
• Strong decision-making skills
• Good typing skills
• Willingness to accept new assignments
• Willingness to work in a team-oriented environment
• Strong attention to detail, and ability to recognize and report issues

• Ability to forecast usage
• Ability to process 20 acknowledgments per hour (average)

A typical day may look like this: 

• Daily correspondence with site personnel and customer, including customer management
• Inventory management duties  
• Evaluate stock levels and place orders with suppliers using planner tools
• Process PO acknowledgements
• Print reports and purchase orders
• Manage meetings with OEMs experiencing quality or delivery issues
• Support other sites purchasing from home site or in person as needed.
• Lead effort to clean up information and data in the program.
• Assist in cost savings targets.
• Manage economic order quantities.
• Assist in discrepancy resolution. 
• Manage aged inventory and mitigation efforts
• Verify delivery dates, quantities, UOM and pricing
• Follow up with suppliers on unacknowledged POs
• Contact suppliers to resolve any issues related to shipments received
• Work with Discrepancy Team on discrepancies
• Fill requests for products not currently carried
• Placement of POs against requisitions
• Continually look for better products/pricing
• Supplier RFQs
• Customer quote/order entry
• Determine supplier/source
• Supplier negotiations
• Initiate and negotiate blanket POs
• Order spot buy requests for products not stocked
• Create part numbers
• Spot buys
• Serve as a contact for customers
• Inside sales duties
• Status updates
• Engage internal contacts as needed to meet the needs of the customer
• Mentorship of others in the advancement of their career
