- Have the aptitude to learn new data gathering and reporting systems.
- Preference for a base knowledge of USTG Supply Chain operations.
- Has 2-3 years of relevant technical / commercial experience
Daily Responsibilities:
- Review Planners / Procuris for all item types and indicate which items to order and how many.
- Review normal use items and make recommendations on which items are candidates for potential blanket orders
- Reviews items to ensure min/max levels are appropriate for the usage and storage requirements
- Reviews lead times to ensure they are consistent with recent deliveries to avoid delays on other orders with same or similar items
- Looks for ways to optimize inventory through increasing purchase size to reducing slow and excess inventory balancing company goals with customer service levels.
- Contact sites / customer as needed
- Evaluate and monitor inventory turnover per site to reduce on hand inventory investment
- Perform and audit inventory optimization tasks
- Assist with special projects, as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Periodic Responsibilities:
- Attend buyer’s meetings for feedback on vendor issues
- Attend weekly 5-minute meeting held by Supervisor for department information
- Attend customer facing inventory reviews as requested
- Supervisor or Lead may assign special projects
Physical Requirements:
- 50% Sitting
- 40% Standing
- 10% Walking
- Lifting up to 40lbs.
