Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost of electrical projects, analyzing blueprints and specifications, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed within budget and on schedule. Projects will be industrial Electrical and Instrumentation in nature, with a strong focus in the oil and gas industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare detailed electrical estimates for projects of varying sizes and complexities.
2. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
3. Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to determine the scope of work and materials required.
4. Utilize estimating software and tools to generate cost estimates and proposals.
5. Review and negotiate subcontractor bids to ensure competitive pricing.
6. Present estimates to clients and participate in bid meetings as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Accubid or ConEst.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
