U.S. Tsubaki Automotive, LLC is an international tier-one supplier of high-speed chain drive systems to the automotive industry. This individual will be responsible for establishing lean manufacturing processes to drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence throughout the plant.Essential Duties and Responsibilities : The essential duties and responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this job description - other tasks may be assigned and expected to be performed.Seek out and manage projects that will deliver savings year over year.Track all CI projects occurring throughout the facility and drive them to completion.Identify and facilitate process improvement projects, training / workshops to drive cultural changeConduct root cause analysis to determine metrics, troubleshoot manufacturing / business issues, material flow, project plans, production capacity, and create process documentationLead, train, and coach cross functional teams to implement improvements and embrace lean culture change. Interface with manufacturing personnel to improve existing processes, increase safety, and solve any ergonomic concerns. Use creativity, innovative approaches, and industry-accepted methodologies to solve complex problems. Facilitate non-technical personnel in leading Kaizen events. Implement 5S, SMED, Value Stream Mapping, and Standard Work projects.Assist the champions of other CI projects as necessary.Other tasks / functions as assigned. Requirements : Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or 10 years of equivalent experience3-5 years experience in lean manufacturing environment Lean Six Sigma Green belt preferred Experience with leading project teams Experience with Lean Systems Implementation in a manufacturing environmentExcellent technical skills (mechanical / machining / Special Process)Capable of executing Lean in engineering environments (order flow, technical specs, estimating, configuration)Ability to effectively manage Lean or Kaizen events and supporting resourcesAbility to influence leadership across functions, and at many levels from shop floor to conference roomStrong analytical & coaching skills.
