Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor oversees non-union personnel across various departments, ensuring the efficient manufacturing and assembly of timing chain system components. This role requires strong leadership skills, as well as the ability to coordinate daily activities, train employees, and implement continuous improvement plans.
- Direct, coordinate, and supervise assigned employees to achieve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and labor utilization goals.
- Create and monitor the efficient flow of material through the department, utilizing manpower and equipment effectively.
- Determine and implement continuous improvement plans for equipment and overall department operations.
- Foster working relationships with associated departments, including Planning, Engineering, and Quality.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels, such as toolbox meetings and employee gatherings.
- Understand, communicate, and follow all company policies, work rules, and contractual agreements.
- Make daily decisions on production schedules and personnel-related matters that impact delivery and quality.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred but Not Required.
- Manufacturing environment a plus but not required.
- 3 Years of Automotive Manufacturing Experience; Five (5) to seven (7) years of Supervisory experience, heat treating, metal finishing or working with metals is preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word required.
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing, Project Management, and ISO procedures is required.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work; excellent time management skills required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrate good judgment and decision making with the ability to analyze situations and present a resolution(s).
