What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Control Instrumentation Technician position at US Vanadium, LLC?
US Vanadium is in immediate need of a Process Control Instrumentation Technician. The Process Control-Instrumentation Technician designs, maintains, and troubleshoots the Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), equipment controls, and electrical systems throughout the facility.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, Maintain, and Program the Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
- Maintain and Calibrate field Instrumentation, i.e., pressure, flow, temperature, level, etc.
- Maintain boiler’s testing requirements
- Troubleshooting process control upsets and assists with operational problems.
- Maintain ISO Calibration Procedures and Records
- Provide assistance/backup to plant electricians with maintenance and troubleshooting of facility electrical and motor control systems.
- Project Management
- Multi-task between several jobs at one time.
- Maintain instrumentation shop and calibration equipment.
- Maintain instrumentation schematics and update as necessary
- Ability to identify problems in a fast and efficient manner
- Capable of working on projects with minimal supervision.
- Maintain accurate documentation of equipment calibrations and control system records.
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in industrial instrumentation in a plant environment or industrial electrician’s licenses.
- Vocational or College background in electronics, instrumentation, electrical, and controls theory
- Knowledge of PC operations and programs.
- Knowledge of PLC Programming and Troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of HMI development & plant data historians
- Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic and electronic controls
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot boiler controls
- Ability to be on call after normal work hours when control or electrical problems occur.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
