What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technician - Blender position at US Venture?
DIVISION : U.S. Lubricants POSITION SUMMARY Blend motor and industrial oils, and package barrels and totes to meet company production schedules and customer needs. Assist in plant operations when manager is absent. Inclusive of blending is logistical loading and offloading of bulk products to both truck and rail.
Schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:00pm or until work is completed, and potential for rotating on-call schedule.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Competitive wages starting at $26.50/hr and based on experienced!
Blend and package oils in quantity specified by manager
Unload and load railcars, transports, and trailers according to the quality procedures
Pull orders
Drive tow motor to move packaged containers
Operate and troubleshoot blending and fluid transfer automation and delivery systems.
Clean and maintain building and equipment
Inventory products and report low quantities to manager
Follow all safety, quality and environmental procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
High school education, preferably industrial arts oriented
2 years experience in blending or lubricants operation
Above average scanning and mathematical abilities
HazMat and forklift certification
High mechanical aptitude
Follow instructions and safe operating procedures
Able to lift up to 40 lbs on an occasional basis
Able to operate forklift and power tools
Able to work overtime and Saturdays without much notice
Strong customer service and problem solving skills
Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driver policy requirements a plus
Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test (we do not test for THC/marijuana)
