Duties
The General Manager is responsible for all areas of canteen operations relating to retail, food, vending, sales, merchandising, accountability, misc. service of the canteen. This role is responsible for a full range of personnel management, administrative controls, reviews, & processes relative to canteen operations. e.g., POGs, RPOS, inventory controls, stock schedules, food safety, sanitation, promotional programs, etc. Additionally, the person in this role will be responsible for attaining financial goals & implementing program objectives as established by VCSCO and/or Region Director.

- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- You will be required to serve a probationary period of 1 year.
- Subject to background/security investigation.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of direct food/retail management experience.
- Prior experience with inventory management, supply cost and shrinkage controls, and P&L management experience.
- Proven track record of building sales, increasing profits, and staff development.
- Ability to assess business needs and problem-solve.
- Hands-on leadership with a strong focus on service and hospitality.
- Proficient computer skills using Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Experience with POS Systems.
- ServSafe certification required or obtained within 90 days of hire date.
Education
Associate Degree preferred, but not required, in Business, Hospitality or Management.
