Job Description
The ideal candidate is one that is eager to learn and grow, and one that can work independently to resolve issues and build trust and rapport with internal and external customers.
In this role, the inside sales/outside sales support representative is responsible for maintaining current and future customer satisfaction with service and sales and be able to generate new sales/business through sales initiatives and goals. Provide professional services with product knowledge, problem solving, and order enhancement.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and manage customer accounts to deliver solutions and drive revenue growth, develop and manage strategic partnerships with key customers and leverage internal resources, when necessary, to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction
- Develop plans and systems to optimize the process of planning and executing additional potential sales opportunity when processing customer orders, advising on product application, availability, correct part, catalog or issue number, shipping charges, and price.
- Communicates and cooperates with other departments on all Company related activities including issues related to customer service.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and other contributors to ensure proper execution of prospective sales and internal resources availability.
- Attend Company/vendor/manufacturer-sponsored training seminars to improve product knowledge and job skills.
- Promote professional company image through prompt, thorough, and courteous customer service. Respond to incoming sales calls in a courteous and timely manner.
- Track and timely follow up on all customer inquiries, orders, quotes, and materials. Maintain a record of phone conversations.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Manager.
Job Requirements
- 2 years of successful selling experience in the electrical, mechanical, maintenance markets; or equivalent combination of education and experience in sales required.
- Great interpersonal communication skills and proven ability to build strong, lasting relationships in organizations (internal & external).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional multitasking, planning, and organizational skills
