What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2025 Summer USYS Operations and Events Internship position at US Youth Soccer?
The 2025 summer USYS Operations and Events Internship is a paid position that is responsible for assisting with the administration and execution of the 2025 US Youth Soccer summer events. This internship was created to provide candidates with hands on experience into the youth sports world. Interns will receive a vast array of experience in all aspects of event management.
Internship dates would be as follows: May 13th - Aug 1st

• Provide support in the planning and execution of USYS summer events
(including but not limited to our Presidents Cup / National Championship Regionals / National Championship events).
• Assist Operations and Events department with packing, shipping, and receiving of event crates, assisting with match scheduling, and liaison to state representatives, committee members, referees, and volunteers.
• Intern will be designated to a specific region and asked to attend those events along with both of our National Championship events.

Far West Presidents Cup Regional: (Boise, ID) / June 13th - June 17th
National Presidents Cup: (Tampa, FL) / July 11th - July 15th
National Championship Regionals
Eastern Regionals: (Loudoun, VA) / June 28th - July 3rd
Midwest Regionals: (Overland Park/Olathe, KS) / June 20th - June 25th
Southern Regionals: (Dallas, TX) / June 27th - July 2nd
Far West Regionals: (Boise, ID) / June 20th - June 25th
National Championships: (Orlando, FL) / July 22nd - July 27th

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
. • Excel in managing multiple projects concurrently with strong detail, problem solving and follow-through.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds at US Youth Soccer events.
• Prior work experience with youth soccer or other youth sports administration is desirable.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast paced, team environment.
