About the Job
We are looking for a highly skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team at US0018 Sysco Baraboo, LLC. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fleet maintenance and repair, with a focus on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks on company vehicles and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues using advanced diagnostic techniques and tools, including electrical meter testing and knowledge of controls and electric systems.
- Collaborate with other technicians to develop and implement strategies to reduce downtime and improve overall fleet reliability.
- Participate in training and development programs to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in fleet maintenance and repair.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in a relevant field such as mechanics, transportation management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in fleet maintenance and repair, with a focus on heavy-duty trucks and equipment, preferably with a large logistics or transportation company.
- ASE certifications in automotive or medium/heavy duty trucks and EPA section 608 (core and type II) and 609 HVAC and refrigeration certification preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
