JOB SUMMARY
This Operations role oversees night warehouse activities, including supervising order selection, product replenishment, and order loading. Key responsibilities include ensuring safety and security of the warehouse and managing warehouse staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise daily work and safety of employees engaged in order selection, product replenishment, order loading, and all warehouse functions.
- Manage labor hours and consumable supplies effectively.
- Create work schedules, including extra work days and shifts as needed.
- Optimize utilization of Company assets to support the warehouse.
- Cordinate required repairs with relevant departments when necessary.
- Review night warehouse functions and various warehouse productivity reporting, suggesting efficiency ideas and cost reduction measures for implementation.
- Conduct shipping and loading audits daily, ensuring accurate documentation and proper handling of materials.
- Aid in monitoring sanitation and facility/racking damage to maintain a safe and clean warehouse.
- Support training of new associates, including cross-training of existing staff.
- Promote associate relations through regular meetings and open communication.
- Monitor associate morale and respond to suggestions for improving engagement and enablement.
- Enforce Company policies and procedures consistently.
- Collaborate with the Safety department on training, conducting observations, updating preferred work methods, and routine safety inspections.
- Makes recommendations for disciplinary action and/or behavior modification when necessary.
- Execute management functions of staff selection, development, discipline, performance reviews, and terminations.
- Perform duties of supervised employees and other related tasks as needed.
- Comply with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies (e.g., OSHA, AIB, FDA, USDA).
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; or combination of education and related experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or similar field preferred.
Experience
- 1-3 years of related experience and/or training.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
- Obtain Powered Industrial Equipment Certification from Sysco within 3 months.
