How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
At R&I in Seppic, we are more than 110 people dedicated to innovation for Cosmetic, Nutrition and Pharmaceutical markets. We all work with passion in the field of chemistry, biotechnology, physical chemistry and biology to create new products bringing performance to our customers. We are all located in France, mostly in Castres (Tarn) and we have the objectives to build a new structure, dedicated to biotechnology and more specifically to fermentation in the USA to benefit from Air Liquide’s implantation in Delaware. We aim also to create a local network with key players in North America.As a scientist, you will work in the laboratory dedicated to white biotechnology and more specifically to fermentation. During this period you will run experiments using the bioreactors in place, under strict safety conditions. This laboratory will be based within the ICD (Innovation Campus Delaware) of Air Liquide in the USA.
You will contribute to this mission by…
Running fermentation experiments for the different projects (Upstream and Downstream Processes) according to the strategic objectives defined by the direction.
Analysing the products (HPLC) obtained through the biotech above mentioned processes.
Participating in the laboratory's life (HSE, internal meetings…) .
Writing the reports including all the experiments data.
Communicating structured results to the project team.

Are you a MATCH?
Education:
Master’s Degree in biotechnology or biology
Knowledge in chemistry (separation and purification of compounds)
Specialization in aerobic fermentation. Some experience with bacteria (BSL-1) culture would be considered as a plus.
Soft and Hard Skills:
Strong knowledge in Biotechnology and fermentation
Knowledge in Project management
Good communication skills
Rigorous and organizational skills
“Entrepreneurial” state of mind
Languages:
English fluency is Must have
