Airgas Red-D-Arc is seeking a BotX Cobot Welder Technician to support the company’s sales, integration, service and associated training activities related to the continued development of the BotX product offering. This position will based out of either Piscataway, New Jersey or Detroit, MI. Essential Functions Maintain a safe working environment by following Airgas/Red-D-Arc’s health and safety guidelines Install & de-commission BotX systems Train customers on BotX operation (cobot & app - RDA & Airgas Welding Process Specialists will support customers on their welding procedures) Integrate & service BotX cobotic welding systems Services returned rental equipment Ensures machines are tested, calibrated and run according to manufacturer’s specifications Ensures RDA cosmetic standards for equipment are met Ensures proper service documentation is completed in a timely and accurate fashion Ensure target inventory levels of rent ready and new sale inventory are maintained Assist in management of assembly, inventory and scheduling of the product line Ensure all rental / sale order and shipping documentation is completed in a timely and accurate fashion Provide service and technical support to customers in the region, both virtually through the app and in-person Regularly communicate with existing BotX customers to ensure their satisfaction and give feedback to Automation Product Manager Comply with all governmental regulatory requirements. Education An associates degree from a recognized technical college. Work experience in the welding or automation industry can be a substitute for post-secondary education. Experience Greater than three years of experience in the welding or other related industry Equipment repair and maintenance training Experience servicing and repairing: Mechanical and Electrical equipment Welding training an asset Skills and Abilities Experience with welding or automation applications Ability to anticipate and solve problems, act decisively and persist in the face of obstacles. Adaptable to set and prioritize work with varying exceptions. Communicates with clarity, verbally and in writing, in one on one or group situations, over the telephone and via email. Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures. Ability to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds. Ability to multi-task and work independently with little supervision. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups in a business setting. Ability to diagnose mechanical or electrical failures, and “set up” or assembly of specific packages required by the customer. Good/Excellent knowledge of weld processes and equipment. Ability to effectively build relationships with customers and co-workers.
