SUMMARY
Performstimely and accurate cycle counts of inventory, completes correctinventory adjustments and performs inventory control activities forthe purpose of maintaining accuracy at the item and locationlevel. Performs all duties safely, accurately and meets setproductivitygoals.
ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform quarterly cyclecounting of inventory to ensure accuracy of perpetual inventoryincluding product information (lot tracking and date integrity),product condition (damage / spoilage), stock location (mis-picks),proper location and pick slotting and any other inventory statusspecification.
- Make accurate cycle countadjustments in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) as required toprovide correct information for planning and evaluationactivities.
- Communicate detailedinformation for any potential loss of inventory (expiration, tempissues, etc.) to Manager, Inventory Control or Director, WarehouseOperations to ensure timely action on volatileinventory.
- Correct any product found inthe incorrect storage location during cycle counts, complete aQuality Incident Packet indicating the associate who mis-locatedthe product and provide to operations for associate followup.
- Research Lost Pallet Report andidentify reason and validity of loss through a physical search ofthe warehouse. Determine required inventory adjustment andinput data into WMS to provide accurate information for planningand evaluation activities. Complete a thorough review ofproduct activity in WMS, RDC SUS, the opco incident database, andthe regional adjustments database to ensure accuracy of the netposition.
- Retrieve, research and put away strayproduct.
- Pull, process, load and completeoutbound returns, donations, recalls, salvages and any otheroutbound product shipments asrequired.
- Research catch weights onquestionable receiving identified by the Administration Department,report data to the Administration staff to provide accurateinformation.
- Review Overage, Shortage andDamage Forms (OS&D Form) completed by receivers forcompleteness and accuracy. Approve OS&D Forms afterverification of information for accuracy andcompleteness.
- Retrieve shelf life, product lot,product expiration data listed on the Short Shelf Life Report andthe Received with Less Than Required Shelf Life Report andcommunicates to as appropriate.
- Workeffectively with immediate supervisor and operations to minimizewarehouse shrink (product loss).
- Responsiblefor the neatness and cleanliness of assigned workarea.
- Report any safety issues tosupervisor.
- Observe and enforce all safetyrules to eliminate accidents andinjuries.
- Operate appropriate material handlingequipment (MHE), such as forklifts, stock pickers and pallet jacksin a safe and orderly manner to eliminate accidents andinjuries.
- Ensure that MHE is maintained(perform daily inspection) and clean, report repair or serviceneeds to supervisor to minimize equipment damage and downtime.
- Use warehouse computers and RF equipmentin a safe and professional manner.
- Understandand comply with all applicable company policies (i.e. attendance,Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, Associate Handbook,etc.
- Comply with all applicable State / Federallaws, regulations and policies (i.e. OSHA, HACCP, BRC,etc.).
- Supports food safety policies, standardoperating procedures, and prerequisite food safety control programsthat meet legal and quality requirements and industry bestpractices as defined in our Food Safety Commitmentdocumentation.
- Accept additionalresponsibilities as requested. Other duties may beassigned.

EDUCATIONAND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma orGeneral Education Degree (GED) preferred or one year warehouserelated experience and / or training or equivalent combination ofeducation andexperience.
LANGUAGESKILLS
Must have ability to read andinterpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenanceinstructions and procedure manuals. Must have the ability towrite routine reports and correspondence. Must have theability to speak effectively in one-on-one and small groupsituations.
MATHEMATICALSKILLS
Must have the ability to add,subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using wholenumbers, common fractions, anddecimals.
REASONINGABILITY
Must have the ability to defineproblems, collect data, establish facts and draw validconclusions.
CERTIFICATES,LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

While performing the duties of this job, theassociate is frequently exposed to fast moving material handlingequipment or other mechanical equipment, extreme cold or heat, andfreezer / cooler warehouse environments. WORKHOURS
This is a full-timeposition. The incumbent must have the ability to work avarying schedule which might include shift work (days or nights),weekdays or weekends, and some holidays. Work hours may varyor change based on customer order or departmentalrequirements.
