PositionSummary
This is an importantrole that oversees the finance function of multiple sitescomprising a region, including financial planning and analysis,financial control, cost accounting, accounting, tax, treasury,accounts payable / receivable, general ledger and credit andcollections. Leads analysis, planning, and control of theorganization’s financial transactions, systems, and procedures tocomply with regulations, accounting principles, and otherinternal / external financial standards. Oversees and assistsmanaging US SSMG Regions with Business Unit, Region and AreaPresidents input. Primary point of communication and coordinationforinitiatives.
Responsibilities : RegionManagement :
- Developsand promotes region goals and objectives and insures alignment withoverall corporate goals and objectives.
- Guidesplanning and development of departmental region budgets andevaluates region operations in terms of fiscal management to ensurefiscal responsibility in the regionsoperation.
- Collaborates with Region Leadershipto maintain and enhance interface capabilities with otherfunctions and departments in an effort to continually improveoverall organizational efficiency.
- Analyzes,identifies, and proposes action to the solution of problems withthe operations and leadership teams of individuals and departmentsin an effort to increase the effectiveness of the Region’sperformance
- Serves as finance regionspokesperson in cases of inquiry, feedback, or requests for specialinformation in order to facilitate the accurate and precise flow ofinformation.
- Provides coaching and direction tothe sites finance teams in order to achieve and maintain optimalefficiencies.
- Key participant in regioncross-functional leadershipteam.
OperationsManagement :
Inpartnership with all Region Team Leaders, lead with a strongcustomer-centric and associate focused mindset to drivecollaboration and create a high-performance culture ofunityBe a business partner with the RegionTeam and support Volume and Sales growthAlignwith function leaders to develop the annual operating and profitgrowth plan, to develop the financial forecasts each month for theregion and deliver on goals; both annual andinterimConduct business reviews for theBusiness Unit and region. Analyze results of operations and explainthe key drivers of variances and forecastedresultsBuild, manage, and develop your RegionTeam through regular department meetings, ongoing interaction, andcommunications; monitoring morale and responding to ideas toimprove associate engagement andenablementDirectly manage Site Financeleadership, the traditional A / P, A / R and G / L activities.Proactively manage the cash conversion cycle to improve cashflow.Support the design and implementation ofCost Accounting capabilityEnsure compliancewith production and inventory control policies and processes toprotect the integrity and the accuracy of inventorytransactionsWork with Business Unit Leadershipto develop improvement plans from employeesurveysEvaluate the financial impact of plansand processed to achieve goals. Bachelor’sdegree in finance, accounting, orbusiness.Minimum 5-10 years in a mid tosenior-level finance or accountingposition.Experience in both Union andNon-Union environments, preferredExperience ina manufacturing and / or food productionenvironment.ProfessionalSkills :
Ability toread, analyze and interpret general business periodicals,professional journals, technical procedures, or governmentalregulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, andprocedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information andrespond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers,and the public.
