JOB SUMMARY
The supervisor-inbound is responsible for ensuring day to day efficient operation and all policies and procedures that are related to products being received into the warehouse are followed daily by effective use of associates, ensuring associates comply with all safety policies, and all products are checked for quality and accurate quantity. Some operating companies will also include quality assurance and high lift in addition to receiving and warehouse.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Overseeing daily receiving processes on the dock and in the coolers, ensuring preferred work methods are being followed by associates.
Assisting employees if short-staffed driving forklifts, shipping trucks, receiving the product, loading trucks, or cleaning warehouse.
Communicating with the teams daily to explore opportunities within the inbound processes
Review, coach, and develop the maintenance associates.
Monitoring work, adherence to policy and safety requirements.
Issuing discipline when necessary.
Maintains associate relations through regular department or pre-shift meetings; maintains on-going interaction
Keeps open communication channels with associates by answering questions and explaining policies and procedures
Monitors associate morale, and submits and respond to ideas to improve associate engagement and enablement.
Department planning and policy review to become more efficient and productive.
Making all necessary substitution and responsible for the upkeep of power equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience
1 year of warehouse experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
Professional Skills
Highly detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks, work independently, and prioritize duties.
Ensure daily tasks are completed.
Enforce all policies and procedures related to receiving are being followed daily.
Enforce compliance on all safety policies.
Reject product with inferior quality on inbound.
Personnel schedule recommendations.
Headcount increases.
Termination of employees.
