JOBSUMMARY :
TheProduction Technician II role is essential for supporting theoperations team and is responsible for troubleshooting equipmentissues and performing preventive maintenance on productionequipment throughout the facility with limited supervision.
Participate in 5S and Lean manufacturing activities includingmaterial handling improvements, production line configuration, andsafety procedures.
Thisrole must learn industry leading maintenance practices andmethodologies to increase equipment safety, uptime, andperformance.
DUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIES :
Supportscompany and industry standard safety policies and procedures -OSHA, NEC, NFPA, USDA, FDA,etc.
Performinspections and complete preventive / predictive maintenance tasks on production and process utility equipment toincrease quality, safety, and overall equipmentreliability.
Diagnoseand repair production and process utility equipment deficienciesand failures; to include, but not limited to mechanical,electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
May includefacility repairs asneeded.
Learnand use continuous improvements tools and methods to improveequipment reliability, may include root cause analysis (RCA),failure mode analysis (FMA) and make recommendations to preventrecurrence.
Workand train with OEM technicians during production equipmentrebuilds, line moves, installations, setups, calibrations, andemergencyrepairs
Readand interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform requiredmaintenance andservice.
Responsiblefor effectively managing assigned planned work, unplanned failures,and work orders in a high-paced, fluid workenvironment.
Responsiblefor accurately and concisely logging work orders in computerizedmaintenance management system (CMMS) to properly track maintenanceand equipment performance metrics;
to include labor, equipmentuptime, preventive maintenance compliance, MTTR, MTBF, part usage,etc.
QUALIFICATIONS : Experience
Experience
Required
Three(3) plus years of maintenance experience in a manufacturingsetting.
Experiencetroubleshooting mechanical systems, electrical components,hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, material handling equipment,etc.
Preferred
Experienceusing lockout tagout, job hazard analysis, hot work permits,confined space, etc. 1-3 years of food processing maintenanceexperience is apreferred.
Experienceworking in a food processing environment and familiar with USDA,FDA, and SQF policies andprocedures.
Education
HighSchool Diploma orGED
Certificates,Licenses, andRegistrations :
Required- Must provide own tools (diagnostic equipment and major toolsprovided by Sysco) necessary to perform all maintenance repair anddiagnostics.
Preferred- Formal training in equipment maintenance repair, installation,and troubleshooting of electrical equipment is highlydesired.

Basicknowledge in PLC, VFD / VSD, and relay logic ispreferred.
