Join our team. #CloroxIsThePlace Your role at Clorox: Distribution Associates are part of a team of multiskilled operators that have a variety of skill blocks that allow them to operate in different capacities to palletize/unitize, store, and ship a variety of bleach-based products as efficiently as possible with safety and quality as the foundation to every unit oversaw. Efficient and safe Fork truck Operation is required. Operating and changing over the palletizer are among the duties listed. Other duties include Housekeeping, Inventory Control, Trailer Safety, and Dock Coordination. Distribution associates also serve on Autonomous Maintenance teams and/or perform light maintenance depending on their skill level. Hourly rate: $24.16. Candidate must satisfactorily complete the employment application with attached resume, as well as complete a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check. In this role, you will: General Fork truck Operations • Safely and efficiently operate sit down fork trucks up to 4 hours at a time. • Complete all associated paperwork including tally sheets, put away sheets, if so, assigned downtime sheets, timely and accurately • Put product away with the right product codes and adhering to FIFO procedures. • Consolidate rows and maintain a clean and orderly warehouse which may require periodic sweeping, running sweeper machines and/or the scrubber machine • Load trucks following the bill of lading, and safe loading procedures. • Complete trailer loading inspection safety sheets before entering the trailer • Maintain secure docks after loads are released. • Ensure shipping document requirements or met (trailer#, seal#, etc.) and trailer seals are installed Assure compliance with all Safety and Quality rules and procedures • May serve as a member of the safety pillar • Will lock out and clip out packaging machines and dock locks as appropriate • Follow the Trailer Safety Procedures, 4-part control. • Know and adhere to all safety rules. • Ensure trailer inspections are completed correctly, inspect as needed • Read and interpret correct product codes matching shipping paperwork with product • Maintain and demonstrate certification of Dupont fork truck training requirements • Perform monthly safety observations of employees, temporaries, and contractors. Palletizer/Stretch wrapper Operation • Load pallets and install stretch wrap to keep production of finished pallets in a way that minimizes downtime and maintains integrity of the load or unit • Clear jams and clean up any associated spills and/or damaged product • Be able to read and understand machine basic operating manuals. • Understand the machine sequence of operations • Be able to perform basic equipment/machine troubleshooting • Report downtime promptly and accurately • Be able to quickly remove and install parts, turn wrenches, and follow changeover procedures in an orderly fashion • Perform pre-external activities and post external activities in relation to changeover • Be able to perform all Clean Inspect and Lubrication standard work including associated documentation • Track minor stops including associated documentation • Be able to clean machines which include but is not limited to, wiping dust, scraping, polishing, rinsing, etc. • Be able to perform weekly and monthly lubrication • Be able to inspect gauges, normal position marks (centerlines), etc. • Identify abnormalities and write work notifications • Be able to safely negotiate stairs and equipment crossovers • Be able to lift a 45lb case Housekeeping • Ensure trash is emptied at the end shift • Ensure recyclables are properly separated and stored • Keep your work area assignment clean and organized – WPO • Run the sweeper machine and/or scrubber according to the team schedule or as needed • Weekly clean your fork truck • Clean under the palletizer or damaged product around palletizer and dump areas • Do not leave trip hazards or clutter or partial pallets or damaged pallets, put these items in their proper place Teamwork • Work toward team goals • Assist in training of lesser skilled teammates, or teammates needing help • Cover palletizer during lunch and breaks • May serve as Business coordinator for the team which orders supplies/materials for the team, stretch wrap, pallets, tape etc. including any associated SAP transactions • Work with Production to minimize downtime and get product produced in the right order to eliminates out of stocks or minimizes customer waits • Perform peer performance reviews and observations • Recognize others when the perform well Inventory Control • Perform periodic cycle counts as defined by the team • Ensure proper stock rotation, FIFO Integrity • Manage pallet inventory requirements Dock Coordination Rotation • Represent Clorox professionally by maintaining a courteous presence with drivers • Manage flow of dock and maintain communication with the hostler • Manage and track shuttle trailers • Notify customers via emails when shipments are ready for pick-up. • Enter all required data into SAP (material receipts, shipment transactions, etc.) • Communicate with Hostler to ensure the next shift/day trailers are set-up at the dock What we look for: High school diploma (or equivalent experience) required. Resume required. Preferably 2-4 years of prior experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment, with forklift and/or distribution/logistics. Able to demonstrate Forklift Operator capabilities. Able to follow established procedures and protocols, compliance with OSHA & DOT standards. Strong dedication to plant’s non-negotiable and company’s core values. Be willing to work flexible hours (1st and/or 2nd shifts) and overtime as needed according to business needs. Workdays and schedules may change periodically for training purposes and must be able to work off shift and weekends.
