Join our team. #CloroxIsThePlace Your role at Clorox: The Associate Director, Quality Capabilities leads a team of experts to identify, develop and deploy key quality policies and capabilities across the global enterprise. This individual is responsible for assessing and developing Clorox’s overall quality capabilities by leading the team to analyze current processes and identify areas for improvement, develop industry best practices and design and implement robust change management. Additionally, this role is responsible for deploying effective training programs and monitoring performance to ensure consistent quality standards and compliance are clearly understood by the organization and ultimately delivering quality products that are in compliance with appropriate regulations and meeting consumers’ expectations. The individual will develop and implement strategic programs to elevate quality standards, including roadmaps, resource planning, and budgeting, while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure effective deployment. Additionally, the role involves leading change management efforts by designing and delivering training programs that equip the organization with the necessary knowledge and skills. Driving continuous process improvement initiatives to optimize operations, reduce defects, and enhance overall quality is a key focus. Lastly, the individual will provide leadership by coaching and developing a team of subject matter experts, fostering a strong training and development culture, and building career pathways to support succession planning. NOTE: We are beginning the search now, for a July 1, 2025 start date. In this role, you will: Set vision and lead continuous improvement projects to optimize processes, reduce defects and enhance overall quality. Using strong external lens, conduct comprehensive assessments of existing quality processes and capabilities to determine strengths, weaknesses and prioritized strategy for addressing areas for improvement. Develop programs for elevating quality capabilities across the enterprise, including strategic roadmaps, resource planning and budgeting. Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure programs are effectively deployed and deliver intended results. Develop change management strategy and design and deliver training programs to equip organization with necessary knowledge and skills to achieve quality standards. Establish key performance indicators (KPI’s) to measure quality performance and track against specific goals. Actively seek ways to leverage digital tools and approaches to improve processes, solve problems, and drive innovation within an organization, often with a focus on customer-centric thinking and continuous learning in a rapidly changing digital landscape. Leverage strong understanding of QMS technology, including SAP S4/Hana, to identify opportunities to increase digital data efficiency and elevate quality processes. Provide people leadership. As a thought leader and full member of Quality Leadership Team responsible for cross-team collaboration and leadership of Quality team. Identifies, recruits, hires, onboards and manages a team of direct reports. Provides team leadership (oversight, guidance and subject matter expertise) and responsible for the strategic direction to meet organizational objectives. Oversees the work of direct reports to ensure on-time, on-target and within-budget results. Provides ongoing coaching, guidance and feedback to ensure direct reports are successful in their work, as well as have the necessary and timely access to information and other resources. Conducts regular one-one-one and any other staff meetings to ensure timely communication with direct reports. Provides formal performance reviews and career development planning for all direct reports. Creates strong training and development program within organization to deliver quality career pathways and robust succession plan. What we look for: BA/BS in technical field or related area. MBA preferred but not required. 10 years of demonstrated experience in Quality, preferably in FDA or other highly regulated space. At least 2 years of experience outside of Quality (ie, cross-functional business experience, Supply Chain operations or R&D) or MBA 5 years people management experience. Proven record of leading, developing, and managing quality improvement initiatives, including experienced leadership with quality trade group (panels, forums, task force, etc.). ASQ or other applicable quality certification. Broad knowledge of quality applications, product development and manufacturing processes. Program Development: Vision and leadership to drive the strategic direction of organization. Experience defining, leading and delivering large-scale change management programs. Skills to manage quality improvement projects effectively. Excellent organization and time management skills. Quality Assurance: Deep experience in quality systems and management. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration ability to work with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate quality standards, processes, and tools. Strong written and verbal business communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills: Proven relationship skills with proven ability to achieve sustainable partnerships and internal and external collaboration. Technical Proficiency: Profound knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools, including statistical process control (SPC) and Six Sigma. Digital Mindset: Adaptable, curious, and comfortable with new technologies. Actively seeks ways to leverage digital tools and approaches to improve processes, solve problems, and drive innovation within an organization, often with a focus on customer-centric thinking and continuous learning in a rapidly changing digital landscape. Strong understanding of QMS technology, including SAP S4/Hana. Regulatory/External Knowledge: Understanding of relevant industry regulations and quality standards. People Development: Strong leader and coach who is committed to developing and growing career professionals in Quality and within broader organization. Experience driving and developing Culture of Quality across different global regions. Ability to travel 10% of the time, as needed. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area. –Zone A: $148,500 - $298,600 –Zone B: $136,200 - $273,700 –Zone C: $123,800 - $248,800 All ranges are subject to change in the future.
