Join our team. #CloroxIsThePlace Your role at Clorox: The Innovation Accelerator – Associate Director of Marketing Insights is responsible for shaping and delivering best in class consumer and market research that uncovers strategic insights and ideas that drive innovation growth for Clorox. This role will anticipate future needs of consumers, empower internal teams with deep insights and recommendations to transform how we create innovative products and strategies. This role will drive the learning agenda for projects that will range from discovery to commercialization by conducting market and consumer research, idea generation, prototyping, testing, and in-market launches. In this role, you will: Build Consumer obsession culture by deeply understanding for consumer wants, needs, goals, and behaviors, championing the consumer to shape superior innovation solutions and experiences Lead and execute consumer learning plans based on innovation project needs to uncover meaningful consumer insights; identify resources and manage budget required to deliver learning plan needs Drive external focus by analyzing market and consumer trends/ insights to identify new opportunities areas based on unsolved consumer tensions, competitive challenges, and evolving consumer needs. Identify and analyze consumer needs to build growth maps, platforms, adjacencies and disruptive initiatives Research approaches within the CIA team and broader Clorox organization. Build and support innovation solutions for current BU initiatives as well as new-to-the company adjacencies. What we look for: Experience Minimum of 10 years in market research and insights with 5 years min experience in CPG/ FMCG is must. Brand and innovation experience Market data understanding and analysis (e.g. Circana/ Nielsen) Digitally Savvy and proficient in research tools and agile methodologies Deep understanding of and curiosity for consumer insights and competitive intelligence Skills Ability to design and execute learning plans based on project objectives Ability to "connect the dots" from multiple sources of consumer research, trends, and competitive intelligence and translate into actionable insights to inform decision-making and refine innovation strategies Experience with agile or lean development tools, process and/or concepts to enable faster, leaner, and consumer-obsessed teams that increase speed of outcomes Ability to work across varied functions and roles across different business units to drive results and influence decision-making Strong written and verbal communication to effectively communicate complex ideas to both internal and external stakeholders Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset. Education Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, statistics or a related field.
