The Intern, Athlete Safety (AZ) contributes to the implementation of athlete safety
requirements at USA Baseball events, per the requirements of the United States Olympic and Paralympic
Committee and the U.S. Center for SafeSport. This position will be responsible for assisting with on-site

Position Details:
- Full-time hours (40 hours/week)
- Remote Hybrid
- Based remotely and will travel to work on-site for events as assigned
- USA Baseball has 4 Intern, Athlete Safety Arizona positions available
IN THIS ROLE
- You will assist in the SafeSport compliance process by tracking and monitoring completion progress for USA Baseball events.
- You will monitor athlete safety compliance practices both on the field and at check-in areas.
- You will support the operations of additional USA Baseball events, National Team programming, and other departments, such as alumni relations, merchandising, and travel services, with various tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- You are highly organized with strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Drive.
- You are skilled in proofreading, editing, and communicating clearly with a variety of audiences.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
- You have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and thrive in a team setting.
- You are flexible and willing to adapt to changing organizational needs.
- You are passionate about growing the game of baseball.
- You are capable of performing some manual labor.
- You are available to work weekends and weekdays for the National Team Championships-Arizona in Peoria, AZ and the surrounding area.
- You are in pursuit of or have completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
- You can successfully complete a background check prior to employment.
