What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trackman Operator position at USA Baseball?
Trackman leverages industry leading 3D Doppler radar technology to capture the most comprehensive and accurate ball tracking data in the game. Trackman data is used for player evaluation and development by all 30 Major League clubs as well as the majority of teams in other international professional leagues (Nippon Professional Baseball Organization, Korea Baseball Organization, Chinese Professional Baseball League, etc.) and many of the top collegiate baseball programs.
USA Baseball is seeking highly focused, motivated, and detail oriented candidates to serve as Trackman Stringers/Operators, specifically responsible for running the Trackman system for all games at the National Training Complex in Cary, NC. The number of games each operator works varies by week based on availability and particular program schedules.

The Trackman Operator position is a part-time/hourly position at the National Training Complex in Cary, NC. Multiple candidates to be hired.
IN THIS ROLE
- You will be responsible for setting up rosters and tagging all game information in the Trackman system
- You will log information for the entire game; monitoring the system and making any changes throughout the game (i.e., roster changes, defensive substitutions, etc.)
- You will troubleshoot system issues with Assistant Director, System Analytics, and/or Trackman support, fixing any errors, and uploading the data to the Trackman cloud upon completion
- You will maintain Trackman equipment required for tagging
QUALIFICATIONS
- You are motivated, well organized, and detail oriented
- You possess a firm understanding of baseball (required)
- You are are available to work mornings, some nights, and weekends as the schedule dictates (approximately 10-30 hours per week, depending on schedule and availability)
- You can successfully complete a background check prior to employment
Preferred:
- You have previous experience using Trackman software
