Summary / Objective :
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall safety, quality, and success of the projects assigned. The Project Manager is the USAD representative to the client and leads all facets of projects from kickoff to completion and lessons learned.
Responsibilities :
- Has overall responsibility for projects completed and the supporting team members.
- Motivates and builds trust with customers and teammates through open and consistent communications, constructive feedback, sound decision making, demonstrating technical aptitude, timely follow-up, and leading by example.
- Reviews drawings, plans and procedures for anomalies or errors and drives correction.
- Demonstrates commitment to safety and health excellence through strong personal engagement. Recognizing and stopping unsafe behavior, recognizing, and eliminating safety hazards, following safe practices and procedures, and striving for continuous improvement of safety and reliability in the refinery.
- Cultivates employee development and mentorship in the department.
- Adaptability to difficult situations at the spur of the moment.
- Communicates, presents, and interacts effectively with other functional teams, management, corporate network resources, contract and vendor resources, and hourly workforce.
- Ensures daily work schedules are effective, achievable, provide full crew utilization, and are understood by both supervisors and craft workers.
- Directs and sets expectations for supervisors and operators / technicians.
- Promoting open communications throughout the department and with other workgroups.
- Working knowledge of all aspects field auditing including personnel, equipment, JSA, project plans, etc.
- Some mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills of commonly used equipment.
- Good understanding of water volumes, pressures and flows and other technical aspects of plant operations.
- Partner with customer to understand ongoing business needs and objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Can handle tense situations with customers.
