About the Role
The Industrial Cleaning Equipment Operator will perform a variety of physical activities requiring strength and flexibility to handle equipment, materials, and operate vacuum trucks safely and efficiently.
This is a full-time position with opportunities for overtime.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain power equipment and vehicles in accordance with DOT laws and regulations, company policies, and customer procedures.
- Set up and operate necessary equipment following operation training and guidelines and safety procedures.
- Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including personal protective gear.
- Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and industrial settings.
- Manually clean, install, fit, repair valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets, and other external and internal equipment.
- Drive trucks to destinations and operate equipment to load or unload materials.
- Prepare customer delivery tickets and obtain signatures.
- Maintain records of materials and products transported.
- Keep vehicle logs, cargo records, and shipping manifests according to state and federal regulations.
- Complete daily pre-trip and DVIR inspections.
- Maintain telephone contact with supervisors for delivery instructions.
- Able to read maps and follow written and verbal communication.
Requirements
- Must be able to travel for extended periods.
- Valid commercial driver's license and a clean DOT driving record.
- Respond to calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week if needed.
- Ability to perform duties in accordance with training and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to understand and follow specific procedures and directions.
- Clear background and Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC).
- Successfully complete drug screens and pre-employment physicals.
Experience
- At least 2 years of CMV driving experience.
- Exposure to various weather conditions.
Compensation
The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 based on industry standards, location, and experience.
