Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and skin punctures to obtain blood samples
- Label vials accurately and ensure proper handling and transportation of specimens
- Verify patient information and maintain medical records
- Assist in specimen collection processing and preparation
- Provide exceptional patient care during the phlebotomy process
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy during procedures
Skills
- Proficient in venipuncture techniques and specimen collection processing
- Strong understanding of clinical laboratory procedures
- Excellent patient service skills with a focus on patient care
- Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks
- Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and infection control practices
