Our team of doctors, advanced care providers, nurses, therapists, and researchers provide the region's most advanced medicine at multiple facilities, campuses, clinics and classrooms. We offer patients convenient access to innovative treatments and advancements that improve the health and overall wellbeing of our community.
The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of South Alabama Whiddon College of Medicine has an opening for Emergency Medicine faculty to work in one or more of our emergency departments. This includes the USA Health University Hospital (the Region's only Level 1 Trauma Center), the USA Health Children's & Women's Hospital Pediatric Emergency Department or our Freestanding Emergency Department, all within the city of Mobile. Qualified candidates should be certified in Emergency Medicine or Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Additional fellowship training or academic experience is a plus. For work at our Freestanding ED, candidates with Family Medicine certification and substantial emergency department experience will be considered. Our academic sites have emergency medicine residents, as well as other rotating residents, and medical and other students.
