Responsibilities
The Department of Radiology at the University of South Alabama (USA) in Mobile is currently recruiting a Pediatric Radiologist. The Division of Pediatric Radiology serves USA Health University Hospital, USA Health Children's and Women's Hospital, and the USA Health Mitchell Cancer Institute. The two hospitals are licensed for 630 beds combined and include a Level I trauma center. Our Children's and Women's Hospital is currently building a state of the art Emergency Room which will open early 2024.
The successful candidate must have completed an ACGME-accredited fellowship in pediatric radiology. Candidates who have a willingness and experience in another related area of specialty (i.e. Abdominal Imaging, Cardiothoracic, Neuroradiology, Emergency Radiology, Ultrasound, etc.) would be beneficial. A license to practice medicine in Alabama is required.
Responsibilities include providing primary diagnostic and consultative service in Pediatric imaging for exams performed at multiple locations, instruction of medical students and residents in pediatric radiology, and the pursuit of academic interests and research. This position carries a faculty appointment at the University of South Alabama, rank and salary are commensurate with experience.
