Responsibilities
Supervises clerical office staff, to include assigning duties, training, checking work, preparing evaluations, approving time off, and handling disciplinary issues; working closely with the Director, Operations, monitors scheduling and staffing levels to ensure appropriate coverage, and to ensure day-to-day operations are in accordance with established standards; ensures clinic administrative support staff meets the needs of their assigned areas/physicians, and that all administrative requirements are being met; provides oversight of clinic staff, physician and patient appointment schedules to ensure operational requirements and established standards are being met; monitors patient utilization data, provider schedules, contract requirements, and requests for care, to ensure staffing levels, and mix of clinical personnel are appropriate; interviews, selects and trains clinical support staff; ensures timely submission of timekeeping documents and monitors leave; works with Director of Operations and Health Systems Assistant Administrator to monitor assigned clinic grants and contracts to ensure compliance; works with the appropriate personnel on new grants and contracts, as well as renewing and canceling current ones; ensures compliance with applicable HIPAA, HCFA, Risk Management, OSHA,CLIA, federal, state and institutional regulations for assigned areas; coordinates submission of applications with Credentialing Services for new and renewal clinical provider numbers; assists in managing business operations throughout the clinic, to include creation, implementation, and results facilitation of clinic functions to maximize efficiencies and maintain budget controls; assists with preparation of annual budgets for the clinic; assists in monitoring financial expenditures and identifying and implementing cost effective approaches; ensures preparation and distribution of reports regarding clinic activities, functions, costs and utilization; regular and prompt attendance; ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required; related duties as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama and one year of supervisory experience in a medical business office setting. Directly related experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

Salary : $54,700 - $69,200
