Responsibilities
Develops and implements a strategic vision for integrating behavioral health services into our family medicine practice; collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care outcomes through integrated behavioral health approaches; leads initiatives to promote mental health awareness, destigmatization, and proactive behavioral health interventions; ensures adherence to evidence-based practices and quality standards in behavioral health care delivery; monitors clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and continuous quality improvement initiatives; develops educational programs and training initiatives for family medicine residents, faculty, and staff on behavioral health integration; mentors and supervises trainees and early-career behavioral health providers; facilitates scholarly activities and research related to behavioral health within the academic practice setting; fosters partnerships with community organizations, mental health providers, and stakeholders to enhance patient access and continuity of care; represents the practice in local and regional behavioral health initiatives and collaborations; regular and prompt attendance; ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required; related duties as required.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama, five years of clinical experience in behavioral health, and active licensure with the state of Alabama as a Clinical Psychologist, Social Worker or Counselor. Leadership or supervisory experience is highly preferred.
