Responsibilities
The IT Trainer is responsible for the training and support of organizational staff with using information technologies and biomedical equipment; creates and maintains training materials; develops and maintains training guidelines, tests and classes; works closely with end user support when needed; assists with creating training videos and conducts both online and in-person classes; researches and tests new system functionality when needed; maintains a strong technical and workflow understanding of organizational electronic medical record systems; actively works the information technology training hot-line; regular and prompt attendance; ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required; related duties as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in information systems, medical informatics, computer science, or nursing from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama. OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama and one year of experience as a trainer or systems analyst. OR Associates degree in information technology, computer science, network administration or biomedical technology from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama and five years of IT experience.
