Responsibilities
Develops, organizes, and oversees education and training materials and programs for the health system to include clinical continuing education, clinical application updates and new resident/medical student training; plans all educational events; participates in seminars and workshops; coordinates with various departments for all education requests; works with subject matter experts (SMEs) to storyboard and write content that is focused on the correct learning and performance objectives; develops computer based courseware at a level appropriate to users; maintains professional knowledge and skills through journal reading and educational programs related to specialty specific topics; collaborates with departments to utilize Learning Management Systems to improve operations and departmental workflow; books resources and manages registrations; tests functionality and updates education content; troubleshoots end-user problem areas related to learning management systems; regular and prompt attendance; ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required; performs related duties as required.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in instructional design or related field from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama or a bachelor’s degree and two years of related experience using interactive content creation tools such as, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia. Experience in a health care environment is highly preferred.
