Responsibilities
Provides services for various situations to include sitting with antagonistic, distressed, and suicidal patients and those at risk for falling; provides care in a manner that soothes patients, observes patients for changes in demeanor and condition, and calls upon nursing staff when necessary; maintains records of care provided to patients; desists from performing unauthorized duties; maintains confidentiality; adheres to relevant policies, procedures, and standards; assesses room for environmental safety risks; monitors visitor belongings to ensure they comply with appropriate guidelines; communicates professionally and appropriately with patients; tending to basic patient needs; regular and prompt attendance; ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required; related duties as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
