POSITION SUMMARY
USA Lacrosse is looking for a summer Intern to work with our National Teams & High Performance (NT&HP) team. The NT&HP Intern gets to work with all members of the team, assisting with the management and coordination of USA Lacrosse's events by completing a variety of administrative tasks and projects for the National Teams and National Team Development Program events. You will gain hands-on operational experience in event planning and sports management and will play an integral role in supporting the NT&HP team in preparing for upcoming National Team competitions, as well as the National Team Development Program regional player ID clinics and combine.

A Typical Day Looks Like…
Essential Functions
- Provides administrative support to our National Teams (NT) and National Teams Developmental Program (NTDP). This includes, but is not limited to, providing customer service, event preparation and execution, and document processing and retention for events.
- Assists Managers of NT and NTDP in all aspects of player ID events and training camps (i.e., organization/distribution of team equipment and apparel, off-site event packing and shipments, etc.).
- Manages registration activities for NT and NTDP events. This includes following up with athletes to gather missing information to keep in good standing and compliance.
- Communicates with volunteers, providing necessary information on upcoming events.
- Oversees retail operations at NT and NTDP events.
- Provides on-site assistance with NTDP Regional and Combine stages of the program and NTDP tryouts and training camps.

Is This You…
- Current college student working toward a bachelor's degree.
- Ability to work 30 to 40 hours starting in June and ending in August.
- Previous work experience in some capacity. Work experience in an athletic office/team manager, administrative role, and/or event-based experience beneficial.
- Previous volunteer experience for a Mission-based or non-profit organization a plus.
- Intermediate computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft 365 products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Enthusiastic go-getter with a “roll up your sleeves” and “get it done” attitude.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, follow up/through skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, including interpersonal, verbal and written.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must possess a strong “customer first” attitude.
- Ability to exercise the appropriate level of discretion and judgment with the capability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information and materials.

Expected Hours of Work
This is a paid internship at USA Lacrosse. The intern is expected to work between 30-40 hours per week, Monday through Friday with flexible hours between 8:00am and 5:00pm. There may be occasional requirements for longer hours during the week and/or weekends based on events and other business needs. This position will work from our headquarters office in Sparks, MD. Please note, we do not offer housing for this internship program. All candidates must live within a commutable distance from Sparks, MD.
Compensation & Benefits Overview
This is a paid internship, and the hourly pay rate will be $15 per hour.
