What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Event Operations position at USA Pickleball?
The Director of Event Operations is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Vice President of National Events. This role is responsible for overseeing and managing the operations of USAP regional tournaments, supporting the execution of USAP Nationals, and leading the coordination of various ancillary USAP events throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the development and implementation of signage plans for all events, ensuring integration with overall event branding.
- Manage tournament budgets and site maps, ensuring all logistics are well-coordinated and on track.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all operational needs related to tournaments.
- Collaborate with various USAP departments to ensure smooth integration of partners, vendors, members, and stakeholders.
- Work with the USAP communications team to provide content for tournament messaging, website updates, and social media.
- Serve as the key liaison between USAP and local organizing committees, event crews, vendors, and venue departments.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess event readiness and ensure all event requirements are met.
- Collaborate with the USAP membership, sanctioning, and competition teams to ensure smooth registration processes for participants.
- Assist the Vice President of National Events in designing and planning all event logistics.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the planning and execution phases of events.
- Develop detailed, actionable operational plans for each event, ensuring efficiency and clarity.
- Offer key insights and analysis during the development of new revenue-generating events.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
