Job Description
As a Produce Sales Representative, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, acquiring high-quality long-term customers, and managing accounts to drive repeat business. You will play a critical role in expanding our market presence while ensuring excellent customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- New Customer Acquisition:
- Prospect and secure new customers in targeted markets.
- Earn a 15% commission on the gross margin of the very first order placed by a new customer.
- Account Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing customers.
- For each repeat order from a new customer (placed within 12 months of the first order), earn a 5% residual commission on the gross margin.
- Sales Cycle Management:
- Follow up with clients regularly, ensuring timely processing of orders and collecting payments.
- Utilize a CRM system to track customer interactions, sales activity, and performance metrics.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and share best practices with colleagues.
Required Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of proven sales experience, preferably in the produce, food, or agricultural industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with CRM systems.
- Strong computer literacy and the ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies.
- Communication:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to articulate product benefits and negotiate effectively with diverse customer groups.

Compensation & Commission Structure
- Base Salary: Starting at $50,000 per year.
- Commission Structure:
- New Customer Acquisition: Earn 15% commission on the gross margin of the first order from each new customer (defined as a customer who has not placed an order in the past 12 months).
- Residual Commission: For repeat orders from that customer, receive a 5% commission on the gross margin for a period of 12 months following the initial order.
- Payment Terms:
- Commissions are paid out on a per-order basis once full payment is received from the customer.
