What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Crew Member position at USA Produce?
Schedule & Compensation
- Hours: 7:30 PM to 3:00 AM, 6 nights/week (Sunday through Friday)
- Pay: $900/week
Key Responsibilities
- Order Preparation
- Pick and pack produce orders for same-night and next-morning deliveries.
- Break down cases of produce into individual pieces as needed, ensuring accuracy and proper handling.
- Check product quality and remove any damaged or spoiled items.
- Warehouse Organization
- Keep items, pallets, and storage areas neatly arranged.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace throughout the shift.
- Ensure proper labeling and documentation of all prepared orders.
- Loading & Unloading
- Help load and unload trucks as they arrive and depart.
- Assist in verifying shipment contents against paperwork.
- Cleaning & Maintenance
- Clean and sanitize packing stations, floors, and any used equipment.
- Dispose of trash and recyclables properly.
- Monitor warehouse supplies and report when replacements are needed.
- Team Collaboration
- Coordinate with drivers and other staff to ensure orders are accurate and ready on time.
- Communicate any issues (e.g., low inventory, damaged goods) promptly and clearly.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Physical Capability: Comfortable standing, bending, and moving for extended periods; able to lift boxes and produce cases.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure orders are packed accurately and items meet quality standards.
- Reliability & Punctuality: Adherence to the set schedule is critical to meet delivery deadlines.
- Team Player: Willingness to assist colleagues and maintain a positive work environment.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background screening.
