LOGISTICS - PURCHASING ADMIN
Position Purpose and Objectives
Work directly with our customers and vendors to book loads, negotiate rates, ensure timely pick-up and delivery, enforce safety/compliance, and maintain relationships. Our environment is fast-paced, customer-focused, and results-driven.
Essential Job Functions
- Develop and maintain excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Prepare documents for shipping both domestic and international.
- Enter data into operational tracking systems.
- Get competitive shipping quotes for parcel and freight.
- Track orders.
- Review and process purchase orders.
- Develop cross-training documentation and provide training to staff to ensure adequate skills to perform as backup in shipping and receiving departments, as necessary.
- Assist in the annual inventory process.
- Document any damaged goods received and work with appropriate channels until full resolution.

- Provide outstanding customer service by handling and responding to all customer inquiries promptly and accurately.
- Investigate and resolve all shipment-related issues to ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
- Provide accurate and timely updates to customers throughout the shipping/delivery process.
- Adhere to Cyber Security Policies
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Accurate typing skills and/or data entry skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, QuickBooks, internet, UPS
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs.
- Read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Read, comprehend, and write basic correspondence.
- Effectively present information one-on-one or in small group situations.
- Identifies and resolves problems promptly.
- Balances team and individual responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years of shipping or Purchasing experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience building and maintaining relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products and QuickBooks.
- Basic shipping/logistic verbiage.

Pay Transparency
$37,400 to $41,600
