Job Description :

We are looking for a Grapple Truck Driver to safely operate our grapple trucks, equipped with a hydraulic arm and grapple, for loading, unloading, and transporting materials such as dirt, debris, logs, and construction waste to and from job sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, timely, and secure delivery of materials while maintaining the vehicle in optimal condition. This role also involves performing routine inspections and minor maintenance to ensure the truck's safety and functionality. The Grapple Truck Driver must demonstrate professionalism, responsibility, and the ability to efficiently complete tasks while adhering to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities :

• The operator must safely maneuver the hydraulic grapple truck and equipment to load, unload, and transport materials such as dirt, debris, construction waste, vegetation, and scrap metal.
• The operator is responsible for efficiently loading and unloading materials at various job sites while ensuring secure handling and proper sorting when necessary.
• A thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspection of the truck and equipment must be conducted to confirm they are in safe working order, with any maintenance needs promptly reported.
• All materials must be properly secured to prevent shifting or spillage during transport.
• The grapple truck must be operated on public roads and construction sites in full compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations, including DOT requirements.
• Effective communication with field supervisors, clients, and team members is essential to ensure smooth task execution and timely project completion.
• Accurate records of transported materials, delivery times, mileage, and maintenance reports must be maintained.
• Always maintain proper attire, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), safety vests and glasses when appropriate, long pants, hard sole / close-toed work boots, and presenting a clean and professional appearance.
• Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients and site personnel.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and report any issues to the Maintenance Manager.
