Job Description
The Coordinator, Beach Operations NTDP(BNTDP) is a regular full-time position reporting to the Senior Manager, Beach NTDP. The BNTDP Coordinator plays a vital dual role in supporting both the Beach National Team Development Program and Beach National Team operations. This position coordinates essential youth development activities while conducting essential logistical operations to include inventory tracking, equipment management, shipping, and receiving operations, and providing on-site event support for both programs.
Cross-departmental collaboration and support is a general expectation of all USAV employees. Extended hours may be required to include nights, weekends and holidays. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations for both the Beach NTDP and Beach National Team, requiring effective communication with athletes, families, coaches, staff, and USAV stakeholders.
The position is located in Torrance, CA.
Requirements
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:
- Organize, pack, and ship equipment for regional, national, and international events. Organize receiving, tracking, packing and distribution activities of Beach NTDP and Beach National Team gear and equipment inventory.
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Establish and maintain Beach stockroom best practices.
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship) for both programs.
- Receive and process deliveries (notify, unload, label, store) for Beach NTDP and Beach National Team apparel, equipment and supplies.
- Establish and maintain relationships with BNTDP hosts for event promotion and coordination
- Assist with the design and implement event registration systems for BNTDP and National Team
- Assist in overseeing budget lines for all VIK (Value in Kind), equipment, shipping, and supplies for Beach NTDP and Beach National Team. Support on-site logistics and operations for Beach NTDP and Beach National Team events, including possible travel.
- Communicate effectively with NTDP athletes, families, coaches, staff, and USAV stakeholders.
- Assist with membership management of Beach NTDP participants.
- Conduct screen printing and maintain inventory for competition tops for Beach programs.
- Identify and report defects in supplies and equipment. Recorder replacements as necessary.
- Coordinate and provide in-person support for all Beach NTDP and Beach National Team local events.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent GED level credential.
- Demonstrated proficiency with inventory software and database systems.
- Be able to safely and comfortably lift, transfer and store up to 50 pounds.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to work within a team.
- Be a certified forklift operator or be willing to become certified.
- Must successfully pass a USAV background screen (Before the hire date).
- Must complete SafeSport training within two weeks of hire date and keep current as a condition of continued employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years’ work experience with warehouse operations, logistics or equipment management is a plus.
- Work or internship experience within a collegiate, professional, or Olympic Sports Organization(s) is preferred.
- Prior experience working in the Front Rush inventory management system is a plus.
- Prior experience in supply chain operations.
Salary: $26 - $28.00/hr.
