In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base hourly range for this position is $26.78 - $33.48, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential incentives. This position is also eligible for an annual corporate bonus. If you are hired at USALLIANCE Federal Credit Union, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part is any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package.

About This Role
Responsible for managing the charge-off process and recovery efforts for accounts within the Credit Union. All accounts are to be resolved in the best interest of the Credit Union by following the established policies, procedures, laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for contacting members to determine the reason for accounts post charge-off to establish an internal payment arrangement.
- Respond to and research account inquiries from members and external vendors via inbound calls, CRM, email and text messages.
- Document all work and member contact in the appropriate systems.
- Maintain accurate account records in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Provide maximum coverage of assigned queues.
- Negotiate payment plans with members using advanced negotiation tactics and techniques.
- Analyze accounts for recovery potential and determine best placement to maximize recovery dollars.
- Possess an advanced knowledge of all portfolios including consumer, secured real estate, specialty, charge-off and recovery.
- Support ad-hoc projects and work cooperatively with other employees in all Credit Union departments to achieve common goals.
- Review and process accounts for charge-off according to credit union policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Follow up with members and external vendors to ensure compliance with payment arrangements and adjust plans as necessary.
- Management of all third party recovery agents and attorneys.
- Analyze charged-off accounts to identify patterns and trends that can inform recovery strategies.
- Prepare, analyze and present reports on charge-off and recovery activities to management.
- Recommend changes to department procedures.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Represent USALLIANCE in a professional and positive manner.
- Minimum 5-6 years of experience with consumer and secured real estate collections and recoveries.
- Maintain key performance metrics at required levels.
- Contribute to maintaining net charge off rates at prescribed levels.
- Basic knowledge of all requirements for bankruptcy, repossessions, foreclosures and loss mitigation options.
- Proficient in data analysis and familiar with recovery software and tools.
- Ability to make recommendations to management on unique recovery cases.
- Ability to work independently to meet deadlines with excellent follow through skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Seasoned negotiation skills to arrive at best overall solutions within established guidelines.
- Advanced knowledge of knowledge of MS Office products.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
