About This Role :
As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for working collaboratively across departments, including working with the credit union's lending teams. The analyst will assess and monitor internal and external qualitative and environmental factors that impact the credit performance of loans, advise management when credit performance starts to deviate from expectations, and provide material assistance to the lending teams to adjust pricing or qualification criteria to respond to changes in risk and yield expectations. You will provide profitability estimates and insights related to underwriting factors to senior executives to optimize the risk-adjusted return on the credit union's loan portfolio.
Key Responsibilities :
- Credit Analysis : Produce annualized and life of loan credit loss estimates for groups of loans with similar attributes. Identify risk factors, stratify loans by those factors, and provide pricing recommendations to lending teams.
- Allowance for credit losses : The credit risk analyst will develop or enhance and maintain processes for :
Determining the appropriate historical periods to use as the basis for estimating credit losses;
Analyze the credit union's loan portfolio to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Work closely with lending teams to ensure credit policies are aligned with risk management strategies.
Assess qualitative factors including changes in management, industry trends, and economic indicators.
Estimate profitability of loan products under various scenarios.
Compile and present detailed reports to senior executives on credit risk, portfolio health, and strategic adjustments needed.
Influence credit policy and strategy to enhance risk-adjusted returns.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $82,250.00 - $105,550.00 , exclusive of fringe benefits or potential incentives. This position is also eligible for an annual corporate bonus. If you are hired at USALLIANCE Federal Credit Union, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and / or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part is any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package.
