Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for an experienced individual to join the network engineering team as a Network Engineer III. In this position, you will manage and administer critical systems related to Network infrastructure, including Cisco Routers/Switches, Palo Alto Firewalls, SD-WAN, Wireless, Arista Routers/Switches/TAPS, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and network circuits. You will also contribute to the design, integration, deployment, and maintenance of the technical infrastructure (all aspects of the technology lifecycle).
What You Will Do as USANA’s Sr. Network Engineer
- Design, implement, and manage cloud-based network architectures using AWS, Azure, or Alibaba.
- Configure and maintain virtual networks, including VPCs, VPNs, and subnets.
- Utilize Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate network deployments.
- Manage and make changes to automation pertaining to infrastructure using automation tools (Terraform, Ansible)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions with cloud services and applications.
- Expertly configure and maintain core network infrastructure leveraging advanced experience with Cisco and Arista routers and switches to ensure optimal network performance and reliability
- Design and implement robust wireless solutions utilizing deep knowledge of Cisco and Meraki wireless APs and controllers to create seamless and secure wireless environments
- Safeguard network security by configuring and managing advanced firewalls (Palo Alto), IPS/IDS, and monitoring tools to proactively protect against cyber threats
- Troubleshoot complex network issues by applying strong expertise in TCP/IP, layer 2 and layer 3 routing, and network analysis techniques to resolve network challenges efficiently
- Manage and optimize virtual server environments utilizing advanced VMware skills to maintain and enhance virtual server infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance
- Support VoIP communication systems by assisting with VoIP technologies (Cisco CUCM and UCCX a plus) to ensure seamless voice communication
Background and Skills You Will Need
- Extensive experience mastering network protocols, routing, switching, and firewall technologies
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools and methodologies.
- A proven track record of diagnosing and resolving complex network issues, ensuring optimal performance and uptime
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing robust network solutions that meet business needs and drive growth
- Strong proficiency in utilizing network monitoring and troubleshooting tools to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact operations
What Will Make You Stand Out
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience, preferred
