Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a proficient individual to join the systems engineering team as a senior systems engineer. In this position, you will architect, design, and implement solutions to complex problems, taking full ownership of USANA’s critical Linux and related IT systems. You will drive proactive problem resolution and ensure the integrity of USANA’s datacenter resources.
What You Will Do as USANA’s Sr Systems Engineer
- Design, implement, and maintain robust and secure Linux-based infrastructure, including containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker) and public cloud platforms (AWS, Alibaba Cloud)
- Implement and enforce rigorous IT systems hardening and security measures to protect critical infrastructure and data
- Develop and utilize automation tools (Terraform, Ansible) to streamline infrastructure deployments, configurations, and maintenance
- Develop and maintain scripts (Bash, Python) for system automation, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Proactively monitor system logs and activities, implement comprehensive infrastructure monitoring, reporting, and alerting, and ensure optimal system performance and availability
- Design and implement enterprise-level backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to provide timely resolution of critical infrastructure issues
Background and Skills You Will Need
- 5 years of hands-on experience managing and optimizing enterprise-level Linux environments (RHEL, CentOS, OEL).
- 3 years of experience deploying and managing containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker
- 5 years of experience developing and maintaining automation scripts using Bash and Python for infrastructure management
- 2 years of experience utilizing Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
- Extensive experience in automating complex infrastructure tasks and workflows to improve efficiency and reliability
