Job Description
The Department of Enterprise Applications Technical Integration is seeking applicants for a Systems Integration Engineer to design, configure, and maintain all integrations and interfaces into the University’s suite of applications. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Defines, Documents, and maintains consistent architecture and technical approaches to web-based development projects. This includes the use of full-stack technologies used to deliver the solution, from relational databases to web services to front-end code and HTML . Leads, participates, and performs in code, environment, and design reviews to ensure quality work. Analyzes the impact of change requests on web architecture and projects. Recommends new solutions, architecture, technology, and software. Designs solution architecture for platforms, products, software and integrations. Is a subject matter expert in several development frameworks such as Cold Fusion, Java, Javascript, JQuery, AJAX , JSON , HTML , CSS , XML , AEM , and MuleSoft. Is highly skilled in several developmental and web programming frameworks including Mulesoft, PHP , . NET , Java, Python, Javascript, XML , HTML , CSS , and XSLT , etc., Works with a variety of database systems including MySQL and Oracle. Works with clients as well as internal development, project management, user experience, server engineering, and quality assurance teams to create integration solutions specific to higher education business workflows. Documents, diagrams, and approves design solutions. Escalates and responds to emergencies and urgent issues with appropriate urgency and professionalism. Provides on-call support for emergencies and outages. Works closely with other internal teams to define and maintain the infrastructure necessary to support clients. Serves as a technical expert and provides guidance to less experienced staff.
