What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Project Manager position at USC?
The Special Project Manager in the department of Medical Education will report to the Assistant Dean for Educational Administration and will support the Vice Dean for Medical Education with project management for the clinical programs at the Keck School of Medicine. The vice dean oversees the Doctor of Medicine, Physician Assistant, the Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice, and the Speech and Language Pathology programs. This position will support special projects related to student affairs, program evaluation, accreditation, clinical site acquisition and oversight, and coordination with the clinical departments. Duties include:
- Organize and staff meetings of program leadership, interface with faculty and staff in all programs to follow-up on project tasks and action items, troubleshoot problems and refers to assistant or vice dean for resolution as needed.
- Supports short and long-term projects for clinical programs, including accreditation, management and preparation, and ad hoc committees related to continuous quality improvement (CQI).
- Research and gather information for program evaluation and prepare reports for internal and external constituents.
- Collaborate with UPC student affairs and other university offices to ensure alignment of administration operations re: services, policies, procedures, resources, etc. for all clinical programs.
- Collect, organize, and manage program data including student and faculty demographics, retention, and graduation rates, analyze data for trends and CQI projects.
- Review policies and procedures of all programs and assist with development of consistent polices and procedures of all programs to align with USC policies and procedures.
- Assists with the training of faculty, staff, and students on departmental and university operations and procedures, including but not limited to, course scheduling, clinical site development, and student conduct procedures. Develop standard operating procedures for these processes.
- Assists with the development of department-wide communication for all clinical program faculty, staff, and students, including newsletters, department publications, and annual reports.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree Minimum Experience: 5 years Minimum Field of Expertise: Administrative or project administration experience.
Salary : $68,600 - $86,900
